Our Comittment to Sustainabilty

In 2024, the leadership team at Amitasha Group has pledged to prioritize sustainability at the core of our business operations. This commitment stems from a deep responsibility to protect the environment and a determination to embed sustainable principles into the solutions we deliver for our clients. Therefore we aim to contribute to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's).

We have identified our five strategically most relevant UN SDGs, covering areas with the greatest impact on our business and where we can contribute to positive change at scale. Read more about our contribution below:

Our in-house ETP for the galvanizing Lait ensures hazardous waste is treated safely and not contaminating ground water. We are also exploring outsourcing opportunities for enhanced efficiency.

We aim to use water efficiently, built a water body and do our own rainwater harvesting within the company.

Our manufacturing is water intensive. We manage our impacts on freshwater resources to meet rising demand for sustainable products while managing our water impacts at a landscape level. We aim to use water efficiently, built a water body and do our own rainwater harvesting within the company.

Secondly we are expanding our Solar Energy supply which allows us at this point to run the Amitasha Solar Facility fully on Solar Energy.

Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 10 focuses on reducing inequalities within and among countries. As an Indian company, we are very committed to the SDG reducing inequalities. We implemented equal pay for equal work across gender, caste, and regional lines. Offer livable wages slightly above minimum wage. Our hiring policies are inclusive and strictly no person below the age of 18 works in or for our company. We abstain from working with anyone allowing child labour. From 2025 onwards we are working on a CSR-Strategy to reduce socio-economic disparities.

The efficient use of raw materials and energy is fundamental to being a sustainable business. All waste is disposed of strictly in accordance with approved state norms to ensure proper treatment and minimize environmental impact.

Together with our customers we reduce the use and consumption of plastic. Whatever plastic we have as waste will be donated to local plastic recyclers who then make a living recycling their collected plastic with Indian NGO's like Plastics for Change Foundation.

Hazardous wast from our galvanizing unit is treated safely in our Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP).

Our climate action tackles the interconnected challenges of climate change, deforestation, water scarcity and biodiversity loss. While we don't harvest a lot of trees for our production process, we switched to Ecosia within the company to plant trees which every search entry.

We are making efforts to use renewable energy wherever possible and one of our facilities already runs on Solar Energy. We will continue to strategically invest in our operations and increase the usage of renewables.

The Management of Amitasha Group has also reduced their travels by 50% and we aim to keep it low.

We are committed to transparency and will regularly share updates on our progress via our LinkedIn page. Together, we aim to create a sustainable future, leading by example and inspiring others to join us in these efforts.
